Kompany in line for City return at West Brom

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could make his return from a two-month injury lay-off at West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday, manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed on Tuesday. The Belgium centre-back has missed City's last 10 games due to a thigh problem, but he has been training fully for a week and will be included in the squad that travels to The Hawthorns. "Kompany is in the squad list and he is travelling with the team," Pellegrini said. Despite their thrilling home form, which has seen them win all seven of their Premier League games at the Etihad Stadium to date, City have looked vulnerable on the road in Kompany's absence.
